Details
After enjoying breakfast, our journey begins with a pick-up from your Arusha hotel. We'll travel along a well-paved asphalt road covering approximately 130 kilometers, equipped with a lunch package for the day's adventure at Lake Manyara National Park, specifically for afternoon game drives.
En route, we'll traverse diverse landscapes, passing through water sources, forests, acacia woodlands, savannahs, and open country. As part of our itinerary, we'll pass the intriguing "Hot Water Spring" before reaching the stunning Lake Manyara. This park is renowned for its abundance of flamingos and various water bird species. Additionally, it's home to the famous tree-climbing lions, along with a variety of wildlife including hippos, elephants, zebras, buffaloes, giraffes, baboons, warthogs, and much more. With over 350 explored bird species, the park is a haven for bird enthusiasts.
During the excursion, you'll be provided with a picnic lunch to savor amidst the natural beauty. As the day winds down, dinner and overnight accommodation will be arranged at the campsite, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in this enriching safari experience.
After breakfast, we bid farewell to Lake Manyara and set off for the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater. Upon arrival, we embark on a thrilling descent of approximately 2000 feet (670 meters) to the crater bottom, where we will spend the entire day exploring its wonders.
During the full-day crater tour, we'll take a break for lunch at the Ngoitoktok Springs Picnic Site. Prepare to witness an abundance of wildlife including lions, rhinoceroses, buffaloes, elephants, and numerous other grazing animals thriving within this unique ecosystem.
As the day draws to a close, dinner and overnight accommodations will be arranged at a campsite in Karatu, providing a serene setting to unwind and reflect on the day's remarkable encounters within the Ngorongoro Crater.
Following breakfast, the journey continues as we head towards Tarangire National Park, equipped with a lunch package for the approximately 2-hour drive. Upon reaching the Tarangire National Gate in the Manyara area, our exploration of the park begins with a thrilling game drive.
During our visit, we'll enjoy a game drive in the park, stopping at a designated picnic area for lunch before continuing with another round of game viewing. Subsequently, our adventure in the park concludes, and we commence our return journey back to Arusha, anticipating arrival in the late afternoon.
